its that time again...

Time to update...you know, having a blog is similar to working in the software programming industry (just know that this is based on a minimal level of software competence and mere observation) but approval ratings go down if you aren't constantly updating. lol! I protest! Death to technology! yeah, right...
You know, God is amazing. That fact seems so obvious and well known, that it is often overlooked. I am not going to lie although I may hurt some feelings, but I am excited for the things that God is doing in the youth group. Granted, there are some issues, but nothing that I have seen is eserving the rapport it has been given. For the past year I have listened and prayed about issues that the youth group has faced, wondering what has happened. But to me, tonight proved that the biggest problem in the youth group is people talking negatively about it. Today I got to watch as walls fell down just during a simple game, and the youth group was reduced to its splendor and beauty. I watched Brett play pool with Josh, I watched as one girl took the burden off of another, solely because they were a team and that is what teams do. I watched as Brittany and Jason seperated and played on opposite teams, as did kalyn and Danielle. I listened to teams cheer eachother on sincerely, and work together to accomplish a goal. I saw no one sit by themselves, and I watched as people willing joined a discussion, EVERYONE participating. I saw the youth group as it is ment to be. I saw one girl's heart being tugged, I saw people hugging and loving and working together. And I now know that this tail spin the youth group has seemingly been facing is not what it appears to be. Negativity is the quickest and most effective thing that can tear something apart. With a little TLC, this youth group is going to continue to do amazing things. They are maturing, and I am proud of them, and all those who have stood by in support. So I say goodbyr to the days of critisizing the youth for it's imperfections, and hello to a more optimistic view of continuing love and support! Can I get an AMEN!
